Elson participates in the GRETHA project "Digital Technologies for a New Generation of Photovoltaic Installations and Microgrids", funded within the HAZITEK 2021 programme by the Basque Government's Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment.
The GRETHA project "Digital Technologies for a New Generation of Photovoltaic Installations and Electrical Microgrids" is financed within the HAZITEK 2021 programme by the Basque Government's Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment.
GRETHA aims to position the Basque energy industry as a benchmark for the new generation of photovoltaic plants and electrical microgrids, through the acquisition of knowledge and industrial research in digital technologies, which will enable the reduction of the photovoltaic LCOE due to better maintenance practices, and the optimal integration and management of photovoltaic energy in the electricity distribution network (electrical microgrids).
The GRETHA project aims to research on data governance technology, as well as to develop proofs of concept that favour the deployment of GRETHA solutions to the agents in the value chain, enabling communication between the different digital platforms owned by the different project partners. To this end, the developments obtained in the GRETHA project will be aligned with the IDSA (International Data Spaces Association) reference architecture, which seeks the secure sharing of data to create greater value for the data and services provided between different companies.
The technological innovations addressed in the project will be validated through a set of use cases associated with three application scenarios: large photovoltaic plants, self-consumption facilities and microgrids.
The consortium is coordinated by Global Dominion Access and has the participation of Dominion Energy, Elson, Saltoki, Sener, Deusto Seidor and BigDa Solutions, as well as the support of three scientific-technological agents: Tecnalia, Global Dominion Access R&D and UPV/EHU. The Energy Cluster supports the consortium by carrying out the communication and dissemination tasks of the project.
